"The debate over high speed trains might be headed full speed toward Arizona. This is not a new idea for Arizona, but we're a step closer in a very long haul.
The Arizona Public Interest Research Group says more than 11,000 people each day drive between Phoenix and Tucson -- a number expected to triple.
"Good public transportation options such as passenger rail will help Arizona improve our quality of life, reduce traffic congestion on our roads and help keep our air free from pollution," stated the PIRG report."
